My second landscape painting! I did the sky about a zillion times or at least five and the water just as much! The grass is lacking for sure so as I learn more I may change it up! I’ll post any changes! Loving the learning!
I did a tutorial with Art Shattered and she uses a lot of glass and mixed media which was a new experience but lots of fun. Check out the glass trees, and in my fall pics, I have a sunflower and pumpkin with beads that turned out cool! Give it a try, it’s a great way to use up some of your bead stash!
This fall vase of flowers tutorial got me on a roll and now I have a whole ensemble of paintings and almost did one more but decided to stop and move on to Christmas! I absolutely love how they all tied in together so well, especially with the Buffalo check going on! Really love the tutorials I did from The Social Easel!
I just absolutely love painting! It’s a peaceful, relaxing hobby that allows me to take in my environment and to focus on all of the details that make a painting what it is. I am totally an amateur painter in every sense but love it none the less. I love trying to paint scenery, landscapes, flowers, etc…However, I am starting to like doing silhouettes of people, too. I have only painted a few canvas’ but have painted quite a few rocks. I will post more pics soon so check back often on my progress and please feel free to point out things I could do to improve, I am a work in progress, here.
The above diamond paintings are just the most relaxing thing! If you can write, you can diamond paint. I will point out that there are some companies that sell substandard quality materials so be sure to check the reviews before ordering online. You can find just about any kind of print in them on Amazon and they’re usually under 20$ for everything you need. I personally like using my Cricut light pad to do them but there are light pads on Amazon way cheaper that you can use but honestly, I did most of these without a light pad and it’s just as easy. However, occasionally I would be trying to do them in low light and found it to be a little less strain on the eyes. Once you get used to using the light, you’ll use it most the time but having said that, some patterns are better without it. In the pictures above, the top right bicycle is an example of substandard quality. The image is not as clear and defined. There are so many colors going on that it’s hard to make them out. I tried to correct some of it to no avail. The same thing is true with the letters on the other bicycle picture. I was, however, successful at correcting these letters enough that they were more legible but when I first finished, you had to study it to make out what it said. Another tip is to save extra diamond chips if you plan on doing several because you never know if you might need it on something else. Also, research and look at the results of ones that have square chips and ones that have round chips. I still haven’t decided for sure which I like, I’m thinking I like the square, but the jury is still out on that!
