I have been looking at these wreaths on Pinterest for a while now and finally got around to making one. There is something about it’s dimensions that attracts my eye. 💕
I have decided I need to do some stash busting with my floral stash. It’s cumbersome to store stems without mashing them out of shape. I would love to hear some ideas for storing. Right now I keep them in one of the long, flat under bed tubs but I no longer have the bed it was under so it’s taking up a lot of room in my craft closet and it’s overflowing to boot! I hang all my wreaths in my entry closet, on a rod we added to the very top of the closet so that I don’t lose my coat hanging space. It would work ok except that I never keep my step ladder in the closet so I ended up just tossing the wreath up on the shelf, which, of course, is wear and tear on them. I need to be a little more disciplined about leaving the step in there to make it more effective.
I would never have thought it would be so hard to find a thin diameter heart wreath that was about 12” across the widest part, but it sure was. A girlfriend of mine found these online. So, if that wasn’t hard enough, it’s pretty much impossible to find an affordable bunch of tiny rose buds that look dried. I finally gave up and went with this and while it’s not what it was supposed to be, I am very, very happy with it! I put it above a jewelry armoire that is the same dark stain and it looks great!
This is a fine example of how appeal is everything…color can make or break a meal’s appeal. I also love how the coral decor just pops on top of this darker wood table. My daughter made this table and bought some chairs to match. I just love it!
Gotta love when your girlfriend asks what kind of decor you’re doing now in your kitchen and you send her a picture, then she comes bearing these flowers to coordinate!
There is nothing quite like the greeting of flowers!
